There are some events that quietly become part of your summer traditions, and KGN Kitchen in Kingston Jamaica is a part of mine. It’s more than a food festival—it’s a delicious excuse to spend an afternoon wandering from booth to booth, discovering creative dishes, supporting local food businesses, and convincing yourself that one more bite is always a good idea.

Seeing Jamaican cuisine reimagined shouldn’t be shocking. Our food is bold, flavorful, and incredibly versatile — the perfect canvas for creativity. Still, most of us are used to seeing our favorites served the traditional way. Plates of jerk chicken, ackee and saltfish, or curry goat exactly as we grew up eating them. But Jamaica Food and Drink Festival: KUYAH Jamaican Food Reimagined challenged that idea completely.
